Arthritis
Arthritis involves the destruction of cartilage within joints. Arthritis in the shoulder occurs when the shoulder’s cartilage begins to wear down on the ball and/or socket sides of the joint.
The main symptoms of shoulder arthritis include pain, swelling, stiffness, redness, and tenderness in and around the shoulder joint. Additionally, shoulder arthritis can lead to a reduced range of motion that makes everyday tasks more difficult to perform.
