Tendonitis
Inflammation of the rotator cuff or biceps tendon is the cause of tendonitis of the shoulder. In most cases, shoulder tendonitis occurs when the tendon is pinched by neighboring structures.
This condition commonly develops in people who frequently participate in activities that require repetitive overhead movement of the arm. The most common symptoms associated with shoulder tendonitis include pain or tenderness in the shoulder and/or an inability to uphold the arm in certain positions.
